Love and Greed and Pain and Lust
Anette Gellein (NO)
17 November @ 21:00 (doors open @ 20:00)
RISK will hold the Stavanger premier of Anette Gellein’s new film, Love and Greed and Pain and Lust, on Friday 17 November with a post-show party including a set from Dj Ullis. Gellein is an affiliated artist at RISK where we are very excited to be able to share their work in this one-night only event.
Gellein’s new works are like love songs which have passed through the looking glass, where familiar romantic motifs are bent into extravagant new forms: Romeo and Juliet becoming flaming creatures dancing for a demon. This experimental short film is shot on 16mm colour film. Produced in close collaboration with Polar Film Lab in Tromsø and RIMI/IMIR SceneKunst in Stavanger. Funded by Arts Council Norway, Stavanger Kommune, OCA and Galleri Opdahl.
Anette Gellein (b.1995) is a multi-media artist working with video, sound, text, images, drawing, performance and textiles. Graduated with a masters from Glasgow School of Art specialising in performance in 2019 and is currently based in Stavanger, Norway. Previous studies include a BA from Nordland Art- and Film school in 2017.
