Speakers/presentations from 18:00

Please come to our ‘Wake for RIMI/IMIR Scenekunst’ and help us celebrate, mourn and mark 9 years of the RIMI/IMIR Scenekunst project as we prepare to say goodbye to our old friend and building in Badedammen.  Our current lease is up 31. December 2024 and we have recently learned it will not be further renewed.  SOOOOO….we gather to remember, celebrate and honor an amazing 9 years with our old friend/ building with an incredible program of artists from the very near neighborhood (all live or work within a couple hundred meters of Badehusgata 25) and most have performed here over the last 9 years.

There will also be some presentations, testimonials, and speeches from a few people-

• Nils Henrik Asheim (Composer/artist, Organist – Stavanger Konserthus)
• Ane Dahl (RIMI/IMIR Advisory Group, senior architect Helen & Hard)
• Jon Refsdal Moe (Author, Professor of Dramaturgy at Stockholm University of the Arts & Professor of Theatre Studies, University of Bergen)
• Anne Torill Stensberg (Konstituert kultursjef – Stavanger Kommune)
• Henrik Lundberg (Byarkitekt, City of Stavanger)
• Iver Findlay (Artist, RIMI/ IMIR Scenekunst)
• Anette Gellein (Artist)

Artists:

• Stine Janvin/Morten Joh – Death Songs
• Cory Arcangel
• Nils Erga
• Chattermark
(Gunhild Seim/John Lilja)
• Hebbex D”expectatio Expectata (Kjetil Brandsdal & Helge Thornes)
• Mike Malajalian

We hope to find a new space and secure a future home! and are scrambling and working to do just that.  And well, if not…..the funeral later in December might be the end and Stavanger will lose a good friend and also a vibrant international performance scene. (so if you happen to know about a space or place for us to go, please let us know).

Also please check out the rest of the great program this fall!  Get it while you can, before it goes away!!!
